Larz Anderson Auto Museum Wedding Workshop

Earlier this month I had the absolute honor of co-teaching my first wedding workshop with fellow Boston Wedding Photographer, Rebecca Cee Photography. The event was through Hunts Photo and Video and sponsored by Sigma. Larz Anderson Auto Museum Wedding Workshop

The Venue: Larz Anderson Auto Musuem

The workshop was at the beautiful Larz Anderson Auto Museum. A truly unique venue for any couples getting married in the Boston area. This venue is perfect for car enthusiasts and history lovers alike.

The Workshop

We started the day off with a quick lecture where Rebecca and I exposed some of our cringiest wedding fails. I shot my first wedding almost 12 years ago now, which is honestly crazy to think about. There was so much that I know now that I wish I knew back then. We all start somewhere. Being able to take the time to reflect on those earlier weddings has really shown how much I have grown.

Following the lecture, we gave a quick lighting demo. Than we dismissed the attendees too our different stations where they could photograph a variety of scenes. We decked the Auto Museum out in a mock wedding. We had everything from getting ready, details, reception table and even cake cutting! Later in the afternoon we even had a vintage car from the museums private collection that we were able to pose the couple in front of. 

Our whole goal for the workshop was to be able to teach the students what we wished we knew when we photographed our first wedding and then give the attendees hands on experience so they could walk away with a brand new styled wedding gallery.

Its still wild to me that this is my job and this past week has been a huge reminder of just how incredibly blessed I am. This business seriously wouldn’t be anything without the amazing couples who have trusted me to capture their story and I am so honored.
