Andrew & Julie’s Winter Engagment Session at Middlesex Fells Reservation

Andrew and Julie totally nailed their Winter Engagement Session last week at Middlesex Fells Reservation. It was low to mid 20s that day, but they were such troopers and even came prepared with multiple blankets! I also brought along 2 blankets, so I think between us we had about 1-2 blankets per person. 

Middlesex Fells Reservation

We met a Sheepfold at Middlesex Fells Reservation. I choose this location because I knew there was a lot of variety just a couple feet from the parking lot, so we didn’t have to go very far and could always run back to the car if we needed a break from the wind. Plus it is a dog park where dogs just run loose, so for the avid dog lovers Andrew and Julie are, it was a perfect spot!

After gearing up with some Hot Hands and our plethora of blankets we set out to the trails. Turns out it was a great idea we didn’t wander far from the parking lot, because half way through their session my battery died! The cold zaps the battery life, so I prepared by charging two extras that morning. Well … I forgot to grab them from my charger before I left… 

Thankfully Andrew and Julie were down for a slight detour back to the car to collect my battery. I even had a thermos of hot water and hot chocolate prepared for them, so they were able to take a break from the cold and warm up a bit. Plus, they got cuddles from my pup Jojo! <3

Downtown Winchester

With fresh batteries in hand, we headed to our second location, Downtown Winchester. I have driving through Winchester a lot and always thought it was the cutest town and perfect for a photo session. Thankfully Andrew and Julie were down to explore and wander around before the wind chill drove us back to our cars.
