Tennessee Mountain Adventure Session with Rachel & Tanner

I am so thankful that Rachel and Tanner were down for a sunrise mountain adventure at Roan Mountain, Tennessee. We met at Carvers Gap trail head, where there is plenty of parking. It was a short hike, probably .5 miles if that, up to the Carvers Gap Bluffs. When we got there, the sun was just starting to peak over the mountain. This section of the trail intersects the Appalachian Trail. But it was pretty quiet and we had the trail to ourselves, except for a through hiker that was camping in his tent not far off.

From Rachel: “We started dating in the summer of 2017; in fact, I turned him down in late September because I knew my heart was not fully committed yet. He did not accept defeat but reformulated his strategy. Fast forward to the holiday season – I was working in a portrait studio in town for the season when he unexpectedly dropped by with a steaming cup of chai tea latte in hand and a big grin on his face. That act of kindness won me over; and, as they always say, the rest is history. Here we are almost five years later engaged and planning on getting married later this year.”
