Emily & Chris’ wedding day featured two of their favorite activities together – hiking and exploring local breweries. Their day was completely unique to them and their relationship. Complete with a mile hike up to the Blue Hills Observatory for their wedding ceremony.
When they contacted me about their elopement months prior, they knew they wanted to start their day off with a celebratory flight and couples portraits before the festivities with their family.
We met up at Roundhead Brewery, where they enjoyed a flight together, played some pingpong and we took some candid portraits. We then headed to Blue Hills Reservation where we met the rest of their guests at the trailhead and hiked up to the observatory tower.
At the top of the hill, we held their ceremony and exchanged vows. They chose to have a ring warming ceremony, where they pass the rings to each of their guests to share a blessing over them. After their ceremony they got to tour the weather observatory and we took some golden hour couples portraits before hiking back down.
Emily & Chris are true examples of how to have a wedding day centered around you as a couple. They threw tradition out the window. From beer flights to hiking up to the Blue Hills Observatory, it truly was a wedding to remember.
