This intimate New England elopement is like no other.
That is because each elopement perfectly captures the couples true authentic self. An elopement is an intimate wedding experience that is centered around you and your partner. An elopement day perfectly captures a couples unique, authentic relationship. To read more about what an elopement is, check out this blog post! Janna and Tom began getting ready at their private AirBnB around noon, but the design team was there earlier that morning setting up a private picnic for the two of them which they enjoyed in their backyard before we made our way to the trailhead.
Even though the hike up was only a mile, we still planned a full hour to go up and down. This way, we aren’t rushed for time, racing the light to the top of the mountain. We took multiple stops to enjoy the view and capture some photos of the hike itself. Both Janna and Tom are avid hikers, so it was really important to capture what they both love doing.
Once we got to the top, we took some time to enjoy the scenery. After we picked out a spot on the mountain for their ceremony and first look, they separated to get ready for their first look. After their touching first look, they helped each other with the last finishing touches.
We walked over to their ceremony site where they recited their personal vows, and just like that they were married! After some portraits, lots of congratulations from passing hikers, and a beautiful sunset, we began our hike back down. Even though it was much faster on the way down, we still were in complete darkness in the thick forest, thank god for head lamps!
When we got back to their airbnb, they had a private dinner with some of their closest friends and even enjoyed some cake.
I hope from this series you can see how customizable you can make your wedding day. Incorporating both adventure and traditional aspects into your wedding day. So whatever your dream for your wedding day is, let’s make it happen!

So awesome! I love that there’s extra time blocked out for the hike and that there are photos OF the hike.
Were some of these real film? They look it! Beautiful.
I did shoot real film for this shoot, but sadly haven’t gotten them developed yet so all of these are digital.
